Living the ephemeral — Airbnb as experience
When you stay in an Airbnb, you don't buy shelter — you buy a parenthesis. How interior architecture turns a rental into an experience.
A short-term rental is no longer a compromise. It has become a promise. The traveler chooses an Airbnb as one chooses a restaurant: to experience something, not just to sleep.
Identity before functionality
In a rental visited for a week, one does not remember the efficiency of storage. One retains a light at 6pm on a wall, a texture under the fingers, an artisanal detail above the table. The identity of a place is lodged in details that photography captures poorly and that memory keeps for a long time.
Composing for the fresh gaze
Designing for an Airbnb is composing for a gaze that discovers. Not for a routine. This changes everything: each angle must tell something, each transition between rooms must have an intention. The passage from living room to bedroom is not a corridor, it is a change of chapter.
Architecture as memory
My most beautiful rental projects are those where my clients tell me: « travelers come back ». Not because it is practical, but because they want to live the experience again. That is the measure of success — when a place becomes a memory one wants to reactivate.
