Intemporel et contemporain — le dialogue

Timeless and contemporary — the dialogue

Refusing fashion without surrendering to pastiche. Composing universes where contemporary elegance dialogues with timeless details — without yielding to ephemeral trends.

The contemporary passions me. The timeless grounds me. My entire practice is written in the tension between these two registers — refusing the nostalgia of the past, refusing the short reign of trends.

The weight of the present

A contemporary interior does not mean « of today ». The « of today » will be outdated in five years. Contemporary is a posture: it is knowing how to compose with the tools, materials, codes of the present time, without confining oneself there. It is inhabiting one's era without belonging to it entirely.

The anchoring of the timeless

Alongside the contemporary, I place elements that traverse time. A classical wood paneling, a stone fireplace, an old rug, a chined armchair. These elements are not there for decoration — they are there because they will not age. They give the contemporary its anchor point.

Dialogue, never confrontation

The trap is opposition. Placing a design piece facing a Louis XV piece does not create a dialogue, it creates a visual confrontation that tires. The true dialogue is more subtle: a contemporary finish on a classical form, an ancient material in a new volume. It is in the seam between the two that elegance lodges.
